All right fellas, I'm sitting in my last lecture of this semester.. i wanted to skip it to play more basketball in gregory gym but monica advised me otherwise. I've been playing pretty frequently because the playoffs got me fired up! poor dallas and dirk are not only getting beat up, but dirk's fiance(?) is a huge con artist that also looks like a dinosaur.. poor, poor gullible german giant. I used to love dirk, and my heart goes out to him right now. I hope dallas can beat the nuggets in their series, but down 2-0, it doesn't look good. I'll probably read this post and laugh at myself later for thinking the mavs had a shot. But who hasn't been watching the REAL series that's going on, Lakers/rockets??! wow blood, suspensions, and it's tied 1-1 for now.. good series. enough about the nba, none of my 2.5 readers have a clue what i'm talking about anyways.. but first, i'll be really surprised if you can guess who this is with leo dicaprio at the Lakers game:



also at the Lakers game was Jay-Z, shown here greeting rockets star ron artest.. check out the expression on the white guy's face.. he's thinking, "now that's a sharp haircut right there." (artest has a fohawk with the rockets logo etched in his head)

this is the last lecture of the semester.. i don't want to get all sentimental yet because i have 4 freaking finals. yikes. but we're winding down...

as i'm seeing all of these new movies previews for the summer, i have to admit, most of what i've seen looks pretty awesome. topping the list of must sees for me would probably be gi joe or terminator salvation but i honestly probably won't be spending $10 to see any movie this summer.. i predict that the next movie i spend that much to see in theaters will be Inglorious Basterds with brad pitt.. not making any promises though...

as for music, i had a little 2 month stretch where i was checking out cds like the maniacal freshman i once was and i pushed my itunes tracks to over 11,000 now.. go ahead, marvel at my nerdiness.

Oh also, i still have to see Milk, but after watching that, i'll put together the way the oscars should've went..

Good morning to you! It's pretty exciting how fast May is coming up.. wow. that means school is over for a lot of us for a good while.. I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking around austin this summer to find a job and work for the Daily Texan.

OK, for a while, I've been meaning to post some quotes that might be funny that I've overheard around campus... let's see what you think:

OK with all of these celebrities, athletes, and my favorite sportswriters moving over to Twitter, I think it might be about time for me to jump on the bandwagon. Even Oprah's on twitter now! I was slow to come around to Myspace and extremely slow to come around to facebook but i think a move to twitter is imminent. But not without your input.. tell me, what should I do? If you just flat out don't give a damn, just don't leave a comment, I'm used to it.

wow so i guess i'm completely alone in the sympathy for mel gibson.. i know he's done some bad things and said some crazy stuff but i still believe in him. Do you forget his movies of the 90s? i grew up pretending my dad was mel gibson! good stuff.. anyways i think they settled on that splitting it down the middle... i might've seen a headline so aaron you got your way. whatever-her-name-is-housewife gibson is a half-billionaire now.. and of those 7 children that you mentioned, only 2 of them are younger than me and 2 are older than you so i think the bulk of them will be all right without their mom needing 100 million each for them like you suggested.

jake does look a little like Pre.. how do you know of him? did you ever see jared leto's movie where he portrayed him? i didn't but have always wanted to...

not much going on around here this weekend.. i'm going to a track meet here in austin tomorrow and monica and i have a big paper due on monday so our weekend is shot.. blah.

and once again, rick perry is a moron in every sense of the word...
